About journal

On the Earth, there is no institution more complicated than botanical gardens. These are centers of mobilization, conservation and study of plants, combining functions of a museum of natural history, human culture and gardening, a city park, a club for young naturalists, a selection center and a nursery. Research interests of our employees are focused on plant introduction, covering virtually all of the existing science from geology to astronomy, from social to biological technology. Some are apt to like conserve biodiversity, while others prefer evolution. Someone looks for a rational explanation of any phenomena, and there is someone who  talks with plants.

We are passionate about different interesting things, we want to talk about them, and be aware of what colleagues are doing. How to do this best? Feeling of need for effective information stream requires a widely distributed journal containing articles with   summaries in English. Finally, the Internet has convinced us that printed word in electronic form is irreplaceable.

Civilization of "sheet rock books," clay tablets, box with wet sand, papyrus, birch bark, parchment and paper ends. IT revolution has fundamentally changed the means and forms of recording media and its possibilities. Science will change the presentation of research results. Numerous textbooks will be replaced by a single virtual course composed by highly qualified team of scientists and educators. We have an opportunity to save the forest due to the fall in paper consumption.
